System Engineer Windows / Citrix (m/f/d) – Hybrid Frankfurt

Join a specialized IT services provider as a System Engineer Windows / Citrix and take ownership of high-availability environments for well-known enterprise customers. You will work in a small expert team, combining deep technical responsibility with a high degree of autonomy and flexibility in a hybrid setup.

Your Mission

• Operate and optimize high-availability virtualization environments with a strong focus on Citrix.

• Maintain and further develop Microsoft-based server landscapes, including Windows Server 2016–2022.

• Administer Microsoft applications such as Exchange (ideally clustered) and MS SQL in demanding hosting environments.

• Collaborate closely with Managed Hosting and Network teams and contribute to high service availability for enterprise clients.

• Create and maintain high-quality documentation and handle troubleshooting for complex incidents.

• Occasionally visit customers on site; a driver’s license is an advantage but not mandatory.

What You Bring

• At least 3+ years in a comparable IT operations role (or 5+ years from another IT background with strong systems experience).

• Proven expertise with Citrix and other high-availability virtualization solutions, plus solid admin experience with Windows Server 2016–2022.

• Confident administration of Exchange, MS SQL and Microsoft-based applications in production environments.

• Completed IT-related vocational training (minimum requirement); a degree in IT or natural sciences is a plus.

• Very strong communication and team skills, a solution-oriented mindset and genuine passion for IT.

• Fluent German at C1 level (must-have) and good English skills (B2).

• Permanent position in Frankfurt am Main with hybrid work model: around 50% remote, 50% on site.

• Salary up to €85,000 gross per year (depending on experience), 40h/week, 30 vacation days and 13th salary (½ vacation, ½ Christmas).
