What you do

  • Run and maintain high‑availability Linux server environments (Debian, CentOS, RHEL) for customers.

  • Set up, configure, and operate MySQL databases including clustering and replication.

  • Deploy, configure, and update web stacks with Nginx, Apache, Tomcat and related tools (e.g. Varnish).

  • Automate recurring tasks using tools like Puppet/Ansible and shell scripting.

  • Monitor systems, handle incidents, and optimize performance and reliability.

What you should know

  • 3-5 years of experience in System Engineering

  • Very strong Linux admin skills on Debian, CentOS and RHEL, mainly via command line.

  • Solid MySQL administration: installation, tuning, backup/restore, clustering, replication.

  • Confident working with Nginx and Tomcat in production, including virtual hosts, SSL, and troubleshooting.

  • Good understanding of DNS, mail services and general hosting infrastructure.

  • German at C1 level (spoken and written) is required.

How you work

  • In a small Linux team (~7 people) in a managed hosting environment.

  • Hybrid: roughly half remote, half on‑site in Frankfurt, with flexible core hours.

  • High autonomy, direct communication, and strong focus on practical, hands‑on engineering.
